Bulmershe School Admissions
We are delighted that you and your family are considering choosing The Bulmershe School. Please see our page on Visiting the School to discover how to take a tour to help your admission application decision process.
For admissions to Years 7 to 11, parents residing in Wokingham Borough should apply to Wokingham Borough Council. Parents residing in any other local authority should apply through their home local authority, who will then forward the application to Wokingham.
Bulmershe Admissions Procedure 2024 - 2025
Applications for admission to Year 7 for September 2025 must be made to your home's local authority, no matter which school you are applying for. If you are considering applying for the Year 7 September 2025 intake to The Bulmershe School, then the school must be named as a preference on your application.
All admissions are processed through Wokingham Borough Council. Please visit:
Wokingham - Applying for Secondary School 2024 for further information about how and when to apply.

For September 2025 entry – Applications open 12th September 2024 and close 31 October 2024.
Outcomes will be provided by your home local authority on National Offer Day; 1 March 2025. If you are offered a school place, you will need to confirm your acceptance of this offer by the deadline provided within your outcome letter.

Appeals for The Bulmershe School
If you have not been offered a place at The Bulmershe School, this is because there were more applications for the school than there were available places and not all requests for places could be met. Places are allocated in-line with the published admissions criteria and your application was not ranked high enough to obtain a place.
Your home local authority should provide you with further information regarding reason for refusals, waiting lists and how to exercise your right to appeal. Please refer to the Wokingham Borough Council document below for further information, including our reason for refusal document:
